Adjustments to the model and texture configurations are leading to problems in CS:GO.
Yesterday I performed a fresh installation of Windows 10, but after downloading CSGO again I’m facing some problems. The game works fine at low "model/texture" settings, yet it crashes when I raise the settings to medium or high. On medium/high I can access the menu but it freezes when starting a new match and the map isn’t loading properly. Once I managed to load it on medium, some skins disappeared (invisible weapons) and the game froze for a few rounds. After each crash, the "verify integrity of game cache" option appears with a warning about a file failing validation, but it doesn’t resolve the issue because the game still crashes on retry. I’ve also tried reinstalling the game. It’s possible I kept the game running at low settings while using Windows 8.1, so I can’t confirm if that caused the problem. Regardless of the details, this is causing me trouble now, even though the differences between the highest and lowest settings aren’t huge. My system specs are an i5 4690 R9 280x (clock changes don’t help), and the game is installed on an 840 EVO drive; no other in-game options seem to affect it. If anyone has experience or suggestions, I’d really appreciate your advice. Thanks.
I've noticed the frame rate dropping with the latest patch as well. It might be the update itself causing issues. From 150 FPS to just 30 in DPM, but the 5v5 matches aren't too bad.
The CSGO update caused the game to crash, and attempting to play it on Windows 10 isn't functioning properly.
