Adjustments for various monitor setups Toolbar dimensions tailored to different screen configurations
You have an Asus VG248QE and an Asus PB287Q. You plan to use your 1080p screen as the primary display and your 4K as a secondary one for productivity tasks. Everything functions well, but the icons and toolbar on your 4K appear too small. Adjusting the size affects all screens, so you're stuck with this unless you can customize the 4K settings specifically. In Windows 8.1, you may need to tweak display scaling options or consider a different approach to achieve the desired appearance.
Have you checked your graphics drivers for any available settings?
Windows 8 and 10 allows DPI adjustments per monitor. Right-click your desktop, choose "Screen resolution." A panel appears. Click "Make text and other items larger or smaller," then adjust the slider. Under it, you can select DPI settings for each monitor (using Windows 7 engine) or per monitor. Press Apply. Restart your system or sign out/back in to save changes. Otherwise, changes may not show clearly or look blurry.
I'm sorry to hear that. By default, Windows 8 chooses the optimal DPI for each display based on its resolution and size. You can't set a different DPI per monitor manually. I'm not sure if Windows 10 has improved this feature, and I don't have a dual-screen configuration.
