If you kept the socket and screws in the original casing and installed it when replacing your motherboard, would you still lose the warranty? I understand what he mentioned, but the pros don’t seem to outweigh the drawbacks. Still, I’m pretty confident I can fit it properly.

I don't think you need it. My 7700x runs smoothly with my NH-D15, staying under 75°C even during intense gaming. The mounting feels solid. I still use Noctua Na-TPG1 to avoid paste beneath the IHS.

You have a high chance—about 99%—of receiving the warranty if you don’t mention this to them. If you state that you used a contact frame, they won’t offer you coverage. The same applies to XMP. Just keep silent and they might still provide it.

It's about how the process functions; XMP removes the warranty coverage for your CPU since they can't verify any issues, and they don't seem to prioritize the socket corrector either.
