Adjustment range from 3600MHz to 2667MHz
Adjustment range from 3600MHz to 2667MHz
Hi, so i just added my RAM. Before, it was Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB 3600mhz with 18-22-22-42 timing. Now i added 2 more identical RAM, so it is 4x16GB 3600mhz. The motherboard is Asrock B550M Pro4. Anyway, turns out my PC can't handle running the 4 RAM stick at 3600mhz. So now i'm forced to use 2667mhz, per motherboard manual. I heard if you reduce the RAM speed, you can reduce the RAM timing. Since there are no profile for the speed, i need to configure it manually. But i dont know what should my RAM timing is if i reduce the speed from 3600mhz to 2667mhz. So can somebody told me what timing i should use? Or maybe some resources so i can pick the right timing. Thanks
They conducted the tests with these setups. I have two Asrock B550 boards and two GB B450 boards, but none of them support 3800mts yet—yet all of them handle those frequencies. I don’t use XMP; my B550 PG Riptide handles 128Gs at 3800mts. Rams aren’t even listed on the QVL.
I don’t have a specific recommendation for RAM configurations. You can explore official documentation or trusted guides to set it up yourself. If you need help finding resources, let me know!
I opted for a low latency 2666 kit since it was the fastest option available at the time. What’s your CPU model? It probably matters more than the motherboard here. You might also notice a slight adjustment in the voltage your sticks require. This data comes from AMD’s memory specs for Ryzen 5000, though most CPUs can surpass these minimum requirements. The typical difference is unclear.
