Adjusting the video configuration doesn't impact the frame rate in Arma 3.
I struggle to identify the issue. Fps remains consistent across different video settings, whether I switch to ultra or low. Multiplayer stays around 20-30 fps even when using low, and single-player shows 50-60 fps regardless of adjustments. I've fine-tuned parameters in the Arma 3 launcher but didn't notice any change. My system specs are: Intel Xeon E5-2670 @ 2.6ghz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (3GB, 8GB RAM), DDR3, 1600RPM.
Arma offers great customization options to boost your FPS. However, you must adjust the right parameters. For instance, if your system struggles under CPU load and Arma is known for heavy single-thread usage, try shifting settings toward lower CPU intensity and higher GPU performance. Conversely, prioritize CPU-friendly tweaks when needed. Running the game on SSS significantly reduces stuttering. Focus on view distance, PIP, AA, and PostProcess settings. On some servers, limited control exists due to numerous scripts that impact performance. Maintaining around 30-40 FPS in King of the Hill 100 with an overclocked i7 is quite impressive.
I noticed Arma has issues with CPU calls that could better utilize the GPU, especially when red or green options are more effective.
