i’m experiencing unusually high temperatures with my 5800x despite having strong airflow and a good cooling setup. the system stays hot even when running a 360mm radiator and multiple fans, and the ambient temperature is only in the mid-20s. games like battlefield keep pushing the CPU to 80+ while gaming, but the temps remain elevated. i’ve tried adjusting the CPU frequency settings—like lowering the boost ratio from 4.6 to 4.4—but the performance doesn’t improve much, and caching settings didn’t help. it seems the cooling isn’t keeping up with the workload. i’m considering whether the current configuration is stable or if there’s a risk of overheating, especially compared to other users with similar hardware. beyond part upgrades, could tweaking airflow, fan speeds, or even adding more fans make a difference? i also have a b550 tomahawk and a cooler master H500P, which might offer some improvement.

Slower clock speed means reduced performance. This explains the lower output and cooler temperatures due to less power usage. It seems your cooling system might not be handling the processor well, so a minor voltage adjustment could help. A small negative offset can cut power consumption while maintaining stable clock speeds.

It comes from AMD's optimization process, operating at peak speed until constraints like temperature or power arise. It shouldn't cause issues if you reduce the multiplier, especially since low airflow can affect the H500p. Where is the cooling radiator located?

It's clear at 4400mhz it runs about 400mhz slower than the higher 4800mhz+ mode, which means it'll use a lower power core while still running on auto. The 90c is your maximum throttle setting. Keep going unless you feel it stalling; just follow the cooling tips for best performance.

It wasn't really installed many times; it was placed properly and I reapplied thermal paste.

Removing the side panel doesn't help, so it probably isn't a case ventilation problem.
