Consider whether upgrading is beneficial or if a 7700x is more suitable.

The inquiry consistently asks about your budget and existing setup. A $500 allowance for an upgrade or a substantial budget for a complete rebuild definitely influences my recommendations.

Increasing from 5800X to 7600X is similar to using 5800X3D for gaming purposes. The 7600X may offer a slight performance boost in certain games.

It works well for gaming when you have a powerful GPU that can handle the demands.

No, if it's only for gaming, stick with 7600 or hold off on the 9000 series for two weeks, or try 7800X3D.

Because my 5800X is outdated, I was planning to upgrade and might end up getting the 7800X3D, which would delay the need for another upgrade. However, I’ll hold off until the 9000 releases to decide if it’s worth it or if there’s a better deal on the 7800X3D.

What is your estimated budget for the upgrade? What are your goals? For example, was your previous gaming setup sufficient, or did you notice a drop in performance? If the latest AM5 model offers nothing essential for you and you're purely a gamer, then my honest response is to opt for a 5600 non-X/5600X or a 5700X3D and stop there. Why can't you return the 5800X since they're not too old and the packaged CPUs come with a three-year warranty? If the newer AM5 model includes features you desire or requires higher performance, the 7800X3D is a solid upgrade. Depending on your games and resolution, the gains can be significant. Here are some benchmark results:

You're asking about the issue with your 5800X. It could be related to the CPU, but also other components like RAM, storage, or even software problems. Let me know if you want help troubleshooting further!
