Hello everyone,
I can adjust my RAM timings using AMD Overdrive, though I’m not changing the BIOS settings.
I’m a bit concerned about this process.
Is it really feasible? I have other options available and know I can do it, but I worry it might cause the system to crash right away.

My current setup:
A8-7650k 3.3Ghz with iGPU 720Mhz (overclocked to 960Mhz, stable)
Hyper 212 Evo
[BCLK 100Mhz] – not changed yet...

I have an A68HM-E33 V2 with copper heatsinks and a direct fan for the VRMs.
CX600w PSU
Two 8GB Crucial RAM sticks (normal speed, 1600Mhz @ CAS11), which increased to CAS13 after overclocking to 1866Mhz in BIOS.

I’ve been using 1866Mhz overclock for more than six months at 1.5v.
BIOS memory timings are grayed out, but I can change the frequency manually and it worked successfully.

Could you please tell me:
1) How likely is it that tweaking AMD Overdrive settings will cause my system to freeze?
2) If I make small adjustments and the system freezes, can I still restore the original timings later?
3) Do others have experience with memory timing changes in BIOS or Windows OS?

Thanks a lot for your advice.
Best regards

On every day of browsing, there won't be any noticeable change.
However, during encoding/decoding processes for movies, there is a difference.

Because AMD overdrive doesn't alter settings permanently, restarting will reset everything.

Thanks for lightning fast reply!
There is an option to tick, in AMD Overdrive, to save settings when rebooting.
I've actually done this for CPU + voltage + NB + iGPU Frequency changes/OC tweaks & 'what if' (althought prefer to use BIOS first) so I do not believe this will be an issue.
What is your experience with memory timings overclocking? I'm sure you can teach me something from your experience.
