I understand the concern about mixing RAM types. I haven't encountered anyone asking this before. I bought a G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) with 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM at 3600 MHz and a CAS latency of 19. I also saw another model priced higher with 18 ms latency for $3 more. My question is whether mixing them works. I’d prefer having different colors but eventually just buy more black ones. Also, what’s CAS latency? Does it affect my Ryzen 7 3700X on an MSI x570 Gaming Plus?
