I successfully boosted it to 1.3Ghz (turbo) by increasing the multiplier to 26 from 22 at stock voltage. Since I’m unsure about the default voltage for the graphics core, I can’t raise it further or increase overclocking. I experimented with 1.5V and 1.6Ghz, which worked without issues. However, no game ran properly and the system would shut down when trying to start a game.

After playing F1 2011 at 1024x768 with low settings for around 30 minutes while keeping the GPU clocked at 1.3Ghz, it eventually crashed (black screen). I could return to Windows by pressing alt+tab.

Now I’m running at 1.2Ghz (about 100Mhz O/C), which is a small increase. The performance gain was noticeable, so I’m hoping to push it up to at least 1.5Ghz. But without knowing the BIOS-specified voltage for my DH61WW, I can’t do that. Anyone know the default voltage for HD 2000?

My specs:
i3 2100
DH61WW
2GB DDR3 1333
Corsair CX430

WTF! Nobody knows the stock voltage?
I had to slow it down to 1.1Ghz stock due to lagging problems at 1.2Ghz after an hour.

this page mentions high definition graphics cards with good overclocking capabilities. some intel motherboards restrict cpu overclocking, often limiting it to around 100 mhz at maximum turbo speed for stability. a quality aftermarket cooler could help improve overclocking performance.

I wasn't able to overclock this CPU, so I looked into modifying the graphics. However, it looks like this intel mobile is really poor quality!

What is the default voltage for the HD 2000 inside the i3 2100? Anyone? It seems it's controlled by the CPU vcore, not the IGP. I haven't seen any mention of the voltage for the IGP, only the frequency. Did you try checking with gpu-z or speccy or another GPU monitoring tool?

don't let your igpu affect your processor lifespan overall, whether you opt for liquid cooling or not

@de5_roy IGP uses a different voltage, and my BIOS lists it as "Default". I need to find out what that "Default" value is.
@pell380 No worries, just let me know the correct setting.

Sure, you can ask for an explanation. If you're interested in playing games, consider purchasing a discrete card.

Well, first of all I don't have the money to buy a discrete card what I want. and I obviously don't want a 8800GS. Secondly, next year is my board exams, I won't play games then. So, the discrete card will get backdated in two years.
I get around 24-25FPS avg. at 1024x768 with HD 2000 in heavy games and I want 30FPS minimum and thats why wanted to overclock the IGP core. But I wonder why anyone doesn't know the default voltage of the IGP core as without knowing it o/c'ing is almost impossible and risky..!
