You might still discover if there was one for your board the bios with non K OC support somewhere [like a 3ed party site] as mentioned, since Intel quickly removed them.
If you check here at asus and your board, the non-K chips began with BIOS 303.

I bet they had that feature included.
But now reviewing the bios list, they’ve been removed up to BIOS 410, so it seems the non-K OC bios were taken out from the support downloads too

It looks like they’re all gone??
unless you have access to the non K overclocking BIOS for your Skylake board, non-K chips remain disabled.
intel instructed companies to remove this feature as it wasn't licensed or approved.
