Hi there, I'm just getting started with my computer and thinking about boosting my CPU speed to around 5.0Ghz. I need some guidance on what steps to take. Sorry, I'm really new here—lol. First, let's gather some basic details: CPU model (Intel I9 9900K), cooler (Corsair H150I Pro RGB with three LL120 fans), motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master), power supply (Corsair RM750x 80+ Gold), RAM (Corsair Vengeance 32GB 3200Mhz), and BIOS info (base temps linked to the images). When I installed the latest BIOS update, I wondered if updating it would help. Online advice suggests several things: enable XMP profiles, adjust the clock ratio to 50, turn off certain BIOS features like Speed Shift, C1E, etc., set the core frequency to 47, disable VT-d, and calibrate the CPU voltage. Also, set TjMax to 110°C. If these tips are correct, should I proceed? If not, could you explain why? For testing, I plan to run Prime95, Cinebench R20, and Realbench. Thanks a lot for your help!

Vccio and Vccsa to 1.200v for your Intel chip—speed is decent but not ideal. If the memory sticks are reasonably good, you might exceed 3200mhz. It really depends on the voltage you're comfortable with. The rest of the performance is mainly determined by the CPU's core.

It seems you're confused because you think you're overclocking the RAM, but you're only applying XMP profiles. That's why it feels like you're pushing it too far.

It won't be certain to reach 5GHz at 1.3V, particularly with the 9900K models released recently. Aim for 4.8-4.9 and adjust accordingly.

I understand, but I was looking for details on CPU overclocking. Your RAM is already set to XMP.
