I'm checking if the i5-6600k can be overclocked on the ASRock B150 Gaming K4 board and whether it's possible to reach 4.2 ghz using the Hyper 212 Evo chipset.

I believe it's feasible, but you could opt for a more affordable Z motherboard such as the Gigabyte GA Z170 HD3P. It offers better value and additional capabilities.
