Adjusting performance of an i5-4690K on Z97-A
Hello everyone!
I just finished setting up my first gaming PC and might need some assistance with CPU overclocking. I'm relatively new to this process.
The system uses an Intel Core i5-4690K on an Asus Z97-A motherboard, powered by a 600-Watt ATX12V supply. The cooling solution is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler.
I've reached temperatures as high as about 60°C during intense gaming sessions, such as playing Firewatch at maximum settings.
The issue is that the auto tuner in both the BIOS and AI Suite III stopped working immediately or after startup, depending on whether I used the BIOS or not (BlueScreen). It looks like manual tuning might be necessary, as it seems auto tuning doesn't work well with this CPU.
What overclock targets should I aim for, and how would I proceed exactly?
