My desktop uses a Dell Optiplex 7080 with just two DP ports. I connect my ASUS XV272U at 144Hz, using a DP to HDMI adapter, then HDMI to my ASUS display. The signal isn’t coming through. Previously it worked on a 1080 monitor. From what I understand, Dell supports only 1080 via HDMI, but since the Dell uses a DP port, I thought switching to DP-DP would help. Could I force a 1080 signal instead? I’m okay with some blurriness as long as it works. Is there any way this configuration could function? I’d rather avoid using DP-DP and keep my home computer connected for easier setup.

Verify the adapter compatibility: ensure it handles 1440 60+hz, as not all models meet this requirement.
