adjusting a 2400mhz ram to 2666mhz
adjusting a 2400mhz ram to 2666mhz
I want to build a new pc with Ryzen 1300x and an A320M motherboard. Because Ryzen can support up to 2666 mHz RAM, and the board supports up to 3200, I thought about getting 2666 mHz RAM. But if I choose the 2400 mHz one, it will cost less. So... I'm a bit sad because I have to overclock the RAM, but will I risk it not working properly?
P.S.: This is in Chinese.
Depends completely on the RAM, I've seen ballistix sport 2400 work at 2933mhz without any problems, but it's not a certainty.
In reality, discussions about RAM speeds for Ryzen have been a bit exaggerated.
2933mhz should still handle most users' needs.
For 1300x + a320?
I’d really recommend going with the Ryzen 1200 and a b350 board instead, especially if you're on a tight budget.
