Hey everyone, I just upgraded my first PC last year and now I’m not interested in playing games anymore. I checked the BIOS recently because my RAM was only running at 2133MHz, while my Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600MHz is working fine. When I enable XMP, it shows a blue screen and forces me to revert the BIOS settings so XMP isn’t active. I looked up my motherboard specs and saw it only supports up to 3200MHz. I’m wondering if there’s a way to turn XMP back on and then lower the RAM speed to 3200MHz instead.

XMP functions as a memory performance boost similar to overclocking, increasing RAM speed. If manual settings don’t help, try lowering them gradually from 3200mhz to 3000, then 2933, and finally 2666.

Updated the system information. Initiated XMP transfer. If unsuccessful, loaded XMP data to retrieve clocks, voltage, and timing parameters, then adjusted the frequency manually from 3600 to 3200 and saved the changes.

Check the BIOS settings for basic configurations and ensure stability. For advanced tasks like overclocking, use tools such as MSI Afterburner or similar software.

It is configured in bios under a setting in the advanced section, followed by performance and memory frequency.

I’ll definitely do this unless it hasn’t been refreshed to the newest release. AGESA updates have assisted 5000 series AMD in achieving a stable 3600C16 on many boards.
