I'm attempting to push the FX 8350 overclock on an ASUS M5A97 Le R2.0, but reaching 4.5MHz causes the system to freeze into a loading screen repeatedly. Despite trying to race through multiple attempts, it continues to fail.

The FX-8350 offers significant overclock potential when paired with suitable memory and a proper cooling solution.
However, the ASUS M5A97 Le R2.0 lacks DIGI+ power control for adjusting LLC and CPU current limits. This restricts certain adjustments.
Your motherboard should support running the FX-8350 at 1.375V @ 4.0GHz (up to 1.425V for a 4.2GHz turbo).
Maintain core voltages below 1.5V and monitor temperatures during stress tests.
The achievable overclock level depends on your cooling system and the quality of the chip, as heat production from the VRMs also plays a role.

However, the ASUS M5A97 Le R2.0 lacks DIGI+ power control for adjusting LLC and CPU current limits. This restricts your options in that area.
Your motherboard is best suited to run the FX-8350 at 1.375V @ 4.0GHz (up to 1.425V for a 4.2GHz turbo).
Maintain core voltages below 1.5V and monitor temperatures during stress tests.
The achievable overclock levels depend largely on your cooling system and the quality of the chip itself, as heat dissipation plays a key role in determining how much you can push the OC.
