Thanks to USAFret for assistance with my new laptop problems. I currently use Windows 10 with a fresh multimedia design. This setup seems suitable for touch screens or users with visual impairments. I learned that it's possible to restore the classic Windows 7 appearance and functionality, which would require a third-party add-on.

Checked the link. Classic Shell isn't supported or updated anymore.
Windows 10 is getting updated very often—about twice a year—and each update introduces changes that affect Classic Shell.
