The values you're seeing might differ because each person's setup and components vary. What seems like a small offset for you could be more significant for others. It's possible they're using different voltages or configurations, so the stability gain isn't universally the same.

I also give it a shot, it really improves the CPU temperatures but it won't drop under -0.15. Stock says the maximum TDP rises to 38 watts after undervolting – only just below 22 watts.

I succeeded on a Lenovo Y700 (6700hq), but any below -0.150 causes system restarts.

Dude. I'm seeing this in 2024 and my Asus Rog GL552VW dropped to -0.190 without any problems. It crashed at -0.200, so I'm keeping it around -0.180, which is still cool for a nearly 10-year-old CPU. I wish I'd discovered this issue sooner. The power draw from the package fell from 40W to just 21W and the core temperature dropped from 80°C to 60°C.
