Adjust timing settings and boost performance with your Micron E die on Zen+.
It seems you're evaluating performance against a standard. You plan to test it in AIDA64 and identify areas for enhancement.
I just tested the memory with AIDA64, are the read and write speeds meeting expectations?
Are the voltage levels normal? RAM reads 1.46V, SOC at 1.2V, CLDO VDDP at 975mV.
This method isn't ideal with E-Die. You aim for high frequency and accept slightly relaxed timing since it doesn't match B-Die performance as voltage increases. 16-18-18-18-38 at 1.40v or lower but reaching 3733mt/s or more (nearing 4000mt/s). Frequency equals bandwidth. The 16 to 18 cas latency impact isn't significant. Push the speed further. Also, CPU overclock boosts memory bandwidth without altering memory settings—just a thought.
After extensive testing, the memory controller on the CPU is behaving unpredictably above 3466MHz. Higher voltages don’t improve stability, and overvolting the VCORE SOC has no impact. I’m currently able to boot at 3800MHz CL16 and plan to try 4000MHz next. Finding a way to keep the memory controller happy while achieving stable overclocking is the challenge.
Test it at low temperature truthfully. 3800 cl 16 works okay. Uncertain about reaching 4000, possibly need to disconnect it.
