Unfortunately, the sys admin handling our domain matters is currently missing from the team. I’m the hardware specialist—I don’t have much experience with domain restrictions, by the way.

Throwing ideas around here. If you're working on a single machine and don't have admin access, it's possible you lack permission to override AD rules. Beyond that, I'm confident the policy is likely enforced through AD itself. You might need to adjust settings at the Active Directory level instead. This is based on my basic understanding of how Active Directory functions. Earlier, I was learning about AD in a Windows Server 2003 class in 2009, but I'm sure the rules are firm once set.
