Hello. Experiencing unusual problems in GTA V while driving solely backward and using the first-person perspective (visible wheel). FPS drops significantly from around 80-100 to 35-50. This only occurs when I press the backward arrow and remain in first person. It seems to affect just me. I checked the system clocks and everything looks normal. PC specs: 6700K (stable temps), 4GHz clock, 16GB DDR3, GTX 1080 G1 Xtreme (1985MHz), Corsair 750 RM with latest drivers.

It seems the issue might be related to the tire smoke effect. This phenomenon isn't observed during slow backward movement.

Maxed settings fully utilized, MSAA at 4x, resolution 1920x1080. It works smoothly when moving forward, but performance drops when going backward and using first-person view. Seems connected to the gameplay.

It looks like you're referring to a 1080 resolution, possibly a monitor or display setting. Let me know if you need help with anything else!

However the third camera works just fine. It seems to fail only with one person using a backward ride. Could it be related to the GPU? The temperatures are around 60°C and clocks are okay. 3D mark scores look normal. Any suggestions?

Interesting...I'm not facing that issue with a 1060 6GB and 6700HQ, nor am I dealing with a 6850K and 1080.

I've mentioned it before—it's the smoke from the tires getting into the cockpit. Slowing down back doesn't help much. It also happens during spins and extra tire smoke appears. I'm not sure which setting is causing the tire smoke effects, but MSAA seems to be involved. You might just have missed it.

Absolutely. Slowing down while driving doesn't work. It also occurs when I spin out quickly. Then dropping from 80 to 50 and 35 frames per second. Moving forward is normal again.

I don’t own GTA 5, but if I did, I’d likely see around 1-2 frames per second on a 1080 resolution.
