Adjust the frame rate to 120fps using the appropriate settings in your software or device.
Most games let you set the refresh rate to 120, which automatically caps at 120fps, but this isn’t working in this game. It keeps going above that limit and there’s no built-in in-game FPS limiter—only Vsync is available. I’m using Gsync instead, but I don’t want to rely on Vsync. Although it might help, it could cause frame skips. The game feels mostly smooth, yet it sometimes jumps between frames, which is hard to explain, but it should improve with a frame cap.
Adjusting your frame rate in Windows and setting the NVIDIA control panel to 120 Hz can improve G-sync or V-sync performance.
Thanks guys! i capped it in nvcp, works, theres still some weird shaking, i think thats just how the engine works, but it did feel smoother and I didnt see the skipping anymore . Im going to try with rtss , i never used it to cap framerate but i think thats on per game basis, which would probably be better .
With RTTSS it runs much better, though there are occasional screen tearing issues—maybe it’s just my monitor.
Sure thing. Limiting the framerate didn't solve the issue either. I had motion blur disabled, which I don’t like, but the game required it. I didn’t recall changing it, then turned it back on, set the refresh rate to the highest setting, and still experienced screen tearing and shaking. It seems the shaking isn’t a preset setting—it looks more like a glitch or bug. Overall, things are better now, though my monitor struggles to keep up with Gsync, especially when the in-game refresh rate doesn’t match the display. I haven’t seen this in other games yet. So, it’s not a complete fix but an improvement. P.S.: I haven’t tried Vsync either; I thought it would help, but I wanted to check if I could resolve it without using it first.
