Memory performance is solid at around 3200 cl 14. You probably have a chance. A 3600 cl16 could work too. Going up to 3800 would require an OC for the infinity fabric to maintain stability so the memory doesn’t fall to a 2:1 ratio from 1:1.

E, Samsung B die, Hynix DJR and similar models, 1.5V is generally the minimum for overclocking. If you're using Hynix CJR or Samsung C die, 1.46V might be more suitable for regular use. To identify your chips, look at the sticker with model numbers—version codes like v4.31 or v3.41 can help. You can search online for the specific model to find the correct chip. If you need more details, use Thaiphoon Burner to read the SPD information. Keep in mind that some manufacturers don’t fully program the SPDE, which can affect accuracy, but this is usually where you’ll see the right data. Also, due to AMD’s memory controller design, odd-numbered CAS latency settings won’t work by default. You can adjust them manually, but it may slightly reduce performance.

It's using the Samsung C Die, and GSKill Trident Z RGB. The gear down mode isn't active. Edit: High voltage should be okay as long as temperatures stay low.

Sure, I can rephrase that for you. The setup would likely reach 3800MHz at 1.65V, but I didn’t plan to keep it at that level beyond a few benchmarks. Also, the OP is running a 3600MHz CL18 and downclocked it to 3200CL14, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it can’t hit 3800MHz.

I achieved 3800 cl17 with gear down off. Previously I had 3200 cl13 and 3600 cl15, but I don’t recall the exact timing for those.

The Samsung C die behaves oddly, especially when voltage exceeds 1.4V and it struggles to exceed 3600MHz CL16. It usually performs best around 1.3 to 1.4V. If a kit claims stable operation at 1.46V, you're in for an unusual experience—possibly a misreport or it could be a Samsung B die.

I adjusted it to 1.5 just to test, and it started up without issues. That’s not typical. Edit: review hwinfo for temperatures—your RAM is in the low 40s, which isn’t bad.
