Adjust settings to resemble Windows 10 features in Windows 11.
The Windows built-in utility remains functional for creating system images. It’s not overly complex, but keep this in mind: when generating a system image from a drive like a 2TB SSD, subsequent drives must be at least that size. Even minimal space won’t work. If you attempt to apply it to a smaller drive such as a 1TB one, you’ll receive an error. To restore the image later, boot using the Windows installation media, USB drive, or your custom setup, and look for a restore option in the repair settings.
You can place the image on a storage device smaller than 2tb. (At least you’ll be able to). You still need to accommodate the hidden partitions that Windows uses; you’ll notice them when creating an image and choosing which partitions to include.
chose to try Chris Titus Tech's winutil tool, plan to check its performance over time, possibly using it with O&O shutup10, but will research what it actually does before deciding if it fits my needs.
