You're experiencing audio that seems to focus mainly on the left and right channels while missing the center and rear speakers. There are ways to adjust your setup so all five speakers contribute equally, especially for games or movies. Consider using a multi-channel equalizer settings or a surround sound mode that balances the output across all channels.

I handle tasks using the standard system settings. For your setup, I'm connected to the default motherboard audio via Realtek.

I recall trying this a few years ago, ensuring all speakers functioned even without a recorded audio source in surround sound. I was using a Creative sound card, so I wasn't sure it would integrate with onboard audio. Give it a shot.

I switch my channels to 2, yet you need to adjust it once more for any 5.1 content.

You didn’t include the bottom line of that quote, which suggests removing the Realtek driver and allowing Windows to identify it automatically.

Using the wrong drivers might cause issues like poor performance or compatibility problems.
