I don’t care about the resolution; I just need the games in true 16:9 format with no black bars or borders. It functions on my Intel laptop, but on my Ryzen it keeps getting squished and shows black bars. I set scaling to full-screen in NVCP, but that only stretches it sideways—not up or down (so there are still bars at the top/bottom). Maybe using integer scaling? I’m not sure if NVCP is modern enough compared to the Intel Control Panel—I think DOBSX might be running on my laptop, though I haven’t checked yet. It worked perfectly from the start, 16:9, no issues.

Navigate to your ~/.dosbox folder. Look for the [sdl] settings with fullscreen enabled, no double scaling, and desktop resolution. Find the [render] section, set aspect to false, use a normal 2x scale, and ensure output is OpenGL. Save the changes and test it out.
