My 12-year-old laptop is really struggling these days. By today’s standards it’s almost impossible to use. I want to play Roblox, but I only get about 1 frame per second with window mode, a low resolution of 800x600, nothing open except tasks, all services are closed, performance is dialed in for control panel, and the graphics are minimal with no textures. It’s mostly empty lobbies. I just want to play one game smoothly at 60 frames per second—something I’ve wanted to do since I first started gaming and playing 2D browser games.

You may want to explore this channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQkd05i...LOmhjzDG6g. They tweak games to run on systems that wouldn't normally support them by running them at very low graphics settings and fine-tuning the operating system. This approach can help, though it has its limits.
