Adjust overclock settings for Intel XTU on i7-4790
I recently added Intel XTU to test if I could perform any undervolting to enhance performance. The system is currently cooled with a 120mm AIO, giving me ample thermal capacity. But upon opening it, I noticed the Overclocking Lock setting is active—while the description suggests it should be unlocked, the actual setting is disabled. Is there a way to disable this lock, or is it just misleading in XTU?
I managed to achieve a BLCK around 100.2 on my 4790 (non-k) using turbo boost, resulting in an OC speed of 4091. This was not a significant increase, but the CPU remained locked. I'm unsure which board you're using; XTU might conflict with your BIOS on an ASUs Z97M-Plus motherboard, causing automatic changes, and would need to be removed afterward.

My interest was in that particular XTU configuration, since it seems unusual for it to appear on a locked CPU. I don’t see it showing up on my laptop, which is interesting.
For the model I own, it’s the MSI H81i, which also doesn’t have any BCLK settings available.
