I'm a Twitch affiliate and for some reason, setting up with two PCs seems less appealing than other configurations or single PC builds. I'm not sure what I did, but I can share basic details from OBS and Spec lists if needed. This should give you a general idea, though nothing seems obviously wrong from my understanding of OBS Game PC, Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.0 GHz, ROG B450-i board, 16GB DDR4, 3000/1060/6GB RAM, Elgato HD60, and the 6000 bitrate encoder. CPU usage was Fast Profile with 1920x1080p at 720p60. It might help to look into troubleshooting tips on the forum. Thanks for your patience!
Use OBS Studio directly. A lower speed isn’t ideal for two PCs running together. Adjust to medium or slow, and tweak the custom options. Bicubic works well for reducing quality, while Lanczos is better for increasing it. I stream at 8000KBps, Bicubic from 1440p to 720p at 60fps. x264, High Profile, Medium preset with custom tweaks. My personal stream of Destiny 2 on a single PC at 3700x resolution. You’ll judge if it meets your needs after checking many options. I spent a lot of time researching the optimal settings for my setup. This should be the right configuration. Dedicated research days have helped me decide.
I adjusted several parameters: resolution set to 1280x720p at 60 FPS, bitrate changed from 4500 to 6000, and applied a high CPU usage profile. Missed rendering occurred with over 1 missed frame and encoding errors affecting 552 frames. FPS and average render time weren<|pad|>, so I couldn't view them on OBS.LIVE.
I reduced the quality to fit the bandwidth requirements, as 6kbps isn't sufficient for 1080p at 60fps. The trade-off seems worthwhile for better clarity. If you didn't see the encoded frames, lowering to Medium would be a better option. Dropping many frames in a longer video would be more manageable.
I can reach high resolutions, though the cap for non-partners is 6000 kbps. It seems I wasn’t actually on 1080p; after checking settings, it showed 1280x720p. I’ll switch to Medium and try again. I’ll share a quote once I have the video.
