I recently acquired an HP 1810-8G switch and prefer using PoE instead of a standard power outlet. Yet, all three PoE injectors I tested reduced the network speed to 100 megabits per second. I've used three 802.3af adapters from Avaya, Ring, and Proxim, each yielding the same outcome. I've also experimented with various cables, but plugging these injectors into a PoE WAP still limits speeds to around 10/100 Mbps, suggesting the issue isn't just with the HP switch. Without a PoE-enabled port, the switch operates normally on a gigabit uplink. Since the switch is unmanaged, I can't closely monitor its performance. I'm unsure how to proceed, as this isn't something I've encountered before where a PoE device requires full gigabit bandwidth. Thanks!

What specifications do you need? These gadgets require minimal data, making them likely 10/100 models. (That cuts costs per item.) I’ve found success using TP-Link TL-POE150S injectors—they handle Gigabit speeds.
