adjust monitor speed from 60hz to 75hz
if my monitor supports up to 75 hz at lower resolutions, i can increase my 1080p monitor's speed to 75 hz.
Just proceed if you're considering an upgrade. I think 75Hz looks significantly better than 60Hz, and 144Hz would be even smoother. Using Nvidia's custom resolution tool worked well for me since it handles the timing adjustments automatically. It’s unlikely you’ll get 75Hz from a 60Hz monitor, but it could be worth trying. Your monitor supports 75Hz and is at least six years old, which suggests it’s still in good shape. (My model is VX2025wm.)
If you're okay with reducing the visuals, then yes you can do it.
if you're not concerned about reducing the visuals, then yes, you can do it. will it harm my monitor after a few months?
it's unclear, but i've adjusted my monitor to 66hz for a few months; however, i'm worried it might shorten its lifespan. i plan to purchase a 75hz model to avoid any damage.
