The Odyssey G9 doesn't support the 2560x1600 resolution. It automatically switches back to the previous setting. For Mac use, 16:10 looks best and avoids mouse interference during streaming. Other options don't work well on Mac or hinder gameplay.
The screen has 1440 pixels vertically, but you need 1600 pixels.
It shouldn't be because the device isn't overloading with graphics. It's merely a bit larger in size. Cloud gaming operates differently by streaming game data from the server, so you don't need to handle high pixel density directly.
The display has a standard vertical resolution of 1440 pixels. It won't show more than that in height. You might try a custom size of 100 pixels wide by 1600 pixels tall, but it will still not work. The total pixel count isn't important. You can't convert extra width pixels into height pixels.
It doesn't matter in this case. Your display is just 1440 pixels tall. 1600 pixels will never fit there. That's why it won't work—it exceeds the screen specifications.
