This compact InWin setup is designed for a Christmas gift—my sister-in-law’s new computer. She needs Wi-Fi connectivity, but I’m unsure if Ethernet is available or if the ISP router’s ports are full. I’m aiming for flexibility so she can place it anywhere. There’s an antenna opening, though there aren’t many slots that reach half-height, and the motherboard lacks PCIe slots or other expansion options. I’m limited to a USB NIC since the case only has two USB ports and the motherboard supports just two USB 3.0 connections. I discovered a compatible NIC without a PCI bracket that should fit snugly inside, and I can add another hole in the chassis for a perfect fit. Is there a more refined alternative? Maybe an upgraded case with better internal routing or a different antenna approach would be ideal, given the constraints?
Which motherboard are you connecting to? The ideal solution is a USB 2.0 or 3.0 WiFi adapter.
