Hey everyone, this has been a frustrating experience with my RAM. Essentially, I swapped in identical sticks but kept using the same specifications. When I accidentally spilled a bit of fluid on one stick (only a few drops), I cleaned it thoroughly with alcohol, but it still didn’t recognize the new RAM. Now I’m stuck with the same build, and after changing my fluid, I ended up with the same problem.

I’ve been using the G. Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16 Gb (up to 3600 MHz) on an ASUS X570 Prime Pro board. After replacing the faulty stick, I tried enabling DOCP or manually setting the memory to 3600 MHz, but the system would shut down and then restart three times before showing up in safe mode. It seems the default BIOS settings are causing the issue. I’ve reset my CMOS and haven’t had any luck. Any suggestions or advice would be super helpful!

I removed both sets of old RAM modules and now have two brand new ones installed. Yes, I just began using them after replacing the old ones. Details: CPU is Ryzen 7 3700X, motherboard ASUS X570 Prime Pro, memory G. Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16 GB, GPU RTX 3090, SSD addlink 1TB M.2, and both components are liquid cooled with stable temperatures. Thanks!

This really counts. Consider placing both new sticks in B2 and A2. We won't focus on the older ones. Please update me on the outcome.

It seems you might be facing a more serious issue. The system isn't starting at all, even with the RAM set to B2 and A2, and the DRAM indicator is lit.

Did you notice any liquid on your motherboard? It’s possible a short occurred and now a memory channel is malfunctioning. Before jumping to conclusions, start by booting with just one stick. If that works, test each of the four slots by swapping in one stick at a time—such as using B1 for one stick, then moving to B2, A1, and A2. Our goal is to determine if a single DIMM slot or RAM module is faulty.

It seems only the A2 port functions, yet pairing them together still prevents the system from starting.
