I installed Ubuntu on a flash drive, but performance dropped over time, making me worried about long-term reliability. I use a variant of Puppy Linux named Tahrpup. The main issue is that its file system isn’t compatible with other Linux distributions.
take a long time every time just to restart the system... that's not fair
We previously relied on machines powered mainly by ROM, such as Acorn Achimedes. The main issue was the lack of flexibility in updating programs and operating systems, plus the strict size limits imposed by ROM, which is far more costly than a hard drive. Ultimately, performance and cost favored the PC.

The price is actually lower than expected. I received 8GB for around thirty-five dollars.
