I recently purchased blue iris and have found its features quite appealing. The main issue is that three of my 15 cameras aren’t compatible with the software, specifically the DCS-7110, 5020L, and 5030L models. After trying all possible settings, the program still refuses to connect these devices. I’m wondering if there’s a way to use another application to capture the video feed into blue iris. I’m not very familiar with alternative programs, but it would be helpful to know what options exist.

I think Blue Iris requires cameras with ONVIF compatibility. The D-link 5020L and 5030L don't support ONVIF, which seems to be the issue. The DCS-7110 should function properly—have you attempted a factory reset on the camera before reinstalling it?

I still manage to connect, even with my older DCS-100 setup. The 7110 might be having trouble with the correct settings. If cameras aren't responding directly in the software, what’s the next step? It’s odd that a newer model like the DCS-935L works fine, making this situation a bit frustrating.

It might just be a matter of adjusting the settings. That's why I suggested resetting everything to the default state. Additionally, it's worth verifying the camera's firmware version. An outdated firmware could lead to problems.

Two cameras needed to be changed to MJPEG mode to function properly and are now working. One operated in another RTSP format I hadn't considered. Contrary to what I saw online, support is excellent—he fixed the two issues, and the remaining one worked as expected. It's a very CPU-heavy program, but overall it's a great piece of software.

Great to know it's running smoothly! Remember, Blue Iris can be demanding with lots of high-resolution cameras—consider cutting the frame rate or resolution on certain ones if you run into issues.

Sure, I'll try my best. The single camera occasionally functions but isn't a top concern, so everything is fine.

For CPU the most significant improvement you can achieve without prior work is enabling Direct-to-Disk recording, which prevents re-encoding for each camera. Other adjustments mentioned include options available at the provided link.
