Adding Ubiquiti to my network
Adding Ubiquiti to my network
They suggested an alternative solution, but I understand what you meant. Zyxel looks promising, yet I’ve grown tired of basic networking options. I’m choosing Ruckus instead because I need something more robust.
I've got it set up and the range looks decent for 2.4GHz, though the S8 struggles with 5GHz just down the hall. The speeds aren't great either at 30 and 60Mbps on both bands. There might be a setting adjustment needed to improve performance. I'm not sure if it's worth changing anything yet—I'm better than my old powerline adapters, but not enough to make a big difference.
Did you set the radio power levels automatically? The channel and width you select significantly influence your connection speed. Be sure to pick a channel with minimal interference and as little overlap as possible from nearby networks. I don’t use a basic plan; my AC Pros deliver 150/150 easily. Ubiquiti’s interface can be a bit unusual, but Ruckus seems to offer the strongest WiFi access points in terms of signal quality. I’d love to try some of them.
