It's a smart idea to save your progress before making changes. You picked up this lesson the other day. Just remove the game and reinstall it without the 1.04 update. It works just fine for me.
That's not good. It was just a download—two days long. I was saving it to a USB drive, but I worry the update might affect it. Thanks for the advice later!
The update might have triggered a rollback to a previous release because of compatibility issues or conflicting changes. Even though you installed 1.04, the system could be interpreting it as an older version, causing the game to revert.
All the saves are available. They didn’t match this game’s current version. I ran the “Verify and Repair” feature on GoG, which caused another 500MB download to fix the issue and restored the saves. I’m not sure why the latest update brought the game back to an older release point, but it now functions properly.
Remove the app completely and restart it. The cloud will retain your progress, and everything should work fine.
The .04 update occasionally causes my game to crash. Back in the day with the older releases there were no issues, so hopefully they'll resolve this soon. @ mckrackin5324 "16 hours...POOF" pfff, I've reached 60 hours already ^^
