I started with 16GB of RAM and upgraded to 32GB for editing needs. My system originally had two Corsair Vengeance 8GB sticks, so I replaced them with two Netac 16GB modules each. When I powered on, the motherboard lighting sequence activated but stayed on the boot menu (green). The PC loaded into BIOS as expected. I confirmed the RAM was detected and showed around 16,000 MHz per stick. Installation steps were straightforward: I turned off the PC, reset the PSU button, cleared any residual power, touched the radiator to discharge static, removed the old sticks, and installed the new ones. After switching the PSU back on, everything functioned normally. Specifics: Motherboard - MSI Pro H610M-G DDR4, GPU - 3060 12GB, CPU - i5-12400F, RAM - 32GB, storage - 1TB HDD, 1TB SSD, 250GB SSD.

It went directly to Bios. Have you checked your boot settings for the OS drive?

In the bios menu I selected option F7 to launch advanced settings, then moved to boot mode and it was already installed on my primary drive with the OS running; switching drives didn’t help, and replacing RAM didn’t resolve the issue.

Test with a single stick of RAM in various slots to see if the system starts. If it doesn’t, update your BIOS to the most recent stable release. Ensure the BIOS isn’t reverting to default CMS/Legacy boot instead of UEFI for Windows. Also verify XMP is activated.

Turn off the computer, press the power button for ten seconds, remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes, then put it back in and restart. The BIOS is concerned about the RAM change. Following these steps will reset everything. You’ll need to open BIOS and adjust settings such as XMP and boot order afterward.

Refer to your motherboard guide for detailed information. Example for an MSI B560: https://www.msi.com/blog/b560-memory-oc-...s-settings

You're seeing the same setup because the order of devices isn't affecting the results. To identify which device appears in the list, check the drive letter assigned during installation or use the Disk Management tool to see the assigned letters. If it's labeled as "CT," that's the UFI controller device.
