My computer runs Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 with a Lenovo Sharkbay motherboard. I replaced two default fans with three new Noctua models, but it’s still beeping twice and failing to boot. The new fans spin when installed, yet the issue persists. According to the motherboard specs, two beeps indicate a post-error, which should appear on the screen but doesn’t. I’ve reset the CMOS, changed RAM slots, and reconnected cables—still no resolution. I’m unsure if this could damage the system, but why do the old fans spin while the new ones don’t? Should I consider upgrading my power supply?

Verify the fans are connected correctly. The Lenovo motherboard could face problems with various fans due to unique pin configurations on the connector.
