Added a fresh graphics card but no connection—also after removing it.
Hey, just got a used 1060 3Gb card for my PC which already has an AMD 5th gen APU (R 7 5750 G PRO). I installed it and turned on the computer—fans started up. I was pretty thrilled until I noticed no signal on either of my two monitors. I tried reinstalling the card but didn’t get a result. The tricky bit is that after uninstalling, I still can’t connect the monitors through the APU. Any advice would be great!
Consider swapping out your BIOS battery to refresh the setup. The device may think there are two video processors at once, so a simple reset on the BIOS side could solve the issue.
I accept the clear CMOS setup, no replacement needed. Use the standard jumper technique or temporarily disconnect the CMOS battery for five minutes while the power supply is off, then reinsert it and restart. Don't forget to redirect the cables to the GPU.
It was a surprise to see this happen. The error light appeared when the graphics card was connected, but not when it wasn't. Got really puzzled. Thanks a lot!
