I own an MSI motherboard with a 4-pin LED header. From what I found online, it seems to support only one color LED. I’m unsure which component to connect and the voltage requirements are unclear. However, if I were to add RGB lighting, I’d be looking into compatible equipment. The term "RGB controller" is often mentioned—it could be useful for managing multiple LEDs. You might have RGB LED strands that work with USB, but connecting them internally would limit software control since there aren’t many remotes available. This is mostly about gathering information rather than planning a specific project.

I'm not sure which specific model you're referring to. Could you provide more details or the name of the motherboard?

I was discussing components to integrate into the setup instead of connecting directly to the motherboard, so I thought it wouldn't be an issue.

Initially I assumed the motherboard lacked an LED header, but the MSI spec confirmed a JLED internal connector is present. The manual indicates only one color LED strip, though the image displays 12V and RGB pins. A link for "mystic light" downloads is listed, suggesting RGB support and control options.

The image shows the same MOBO as on Tom’s Hardware forum, and it matches what I see on my PC. A discussion on the forum confirms it uses a single color LED rather than RGB.

It seems the instructions are a bit confusing. On page 15, it mentions a 12V system with signals, though some pins indicate they're not connected—likely just ground. The diagram incorrectly labels GRB as an RGB header, but it probably shows a single color strip.
