I purchased my GTA V from Rockstar Warehouse for £20. When I tried to add the Steam overlay, it reported I was playing a second game before it started. I selected the "playgtav.exe" file, which seems correct. I’m curious if others have installed the overlay on non-Steam versions of GTA V.
It isn't functioning properly at the moment for anyone who needs it. You'll have to wait for a fix if one is released. Otherwise, things could get worse.
