Hey everyone, as mentioned, I encounter AdChoice ads in Chrome popups triggered by text on the page. I’m unsure if they’re malicious or from Google AdSense. When looking up AdChoice, the top result in Google is AdSense, which seems to be the main one. I’ve installed Webroot Secure Anywhere, which has proven effective against malware and spyware so far. It was recommended by PCMAG in their Editor’s Choice review. Still, it doesn’t appear to detect this if it’s a virus. Otherwise, Webroot has performed very well.

You've tried Malwarebytes Free Edition before, but you're considering downloading it again now to attempt removal.

Absolutely, it's wild—I also tried that. Even clearing everything and reinstalling Windows didn't help.

It seems the issue is resolved. I went with a new installation since there were only a few files left, and I also changed the browser to Firefox.
