I’m considering your setup carefully. You have two options: split the fans with a 1-to-2 splitter, or use a single 1-to-3 splitter for all three fans. Each approach has its pros—splitting may reduce airflow per fan but keeps more fans active, while a splitter consolidates fans but could limit airflow if not sized properly. Evaluate your case layout and cooling needs before deciding.

Choose the option that suits your needs best. A 1-3 splitter clearly uses fewer ports, but what impact does it have on cable organization?

They don’t pose major cable management challenges. I’m curious about which setup works better and whether connecting a case fan to the CPU fan port is problematic.

It could cause overheating or damage because improper connections might lead to poor airflow or electrical issues.

The CPU fan header is set aside for the CPU heatsink. It's also possible to connect the fan directly to the PSU power cable, which is advised because you won't need to draw power from the motherboard.
