My headset includes a USB port. I need a converter that connects it to my laptop's 3.5mm audio input. Amazon offers many adapters with matching connectors, but they are typically designed for linking an MP3 player to a storage drive and not for headsets.

if the headset lacks a 3.5mm connector, you can simply use the USB port instead. An adapter designed for that purpose should already be included with your headset or USB DAC, and using an external one wouldn't be necessary.

It's not possible. The USB device comes with its own DAC (soundcard) and must be connected via USB to function, as it cannot handle analog signals.

yes, the majority of headsets I encountered feature a detachable 3.5mm USB DAC for wired models and include a 3.5mm port on wireless ones.

This one doesn't. I think I'm limited to the USB port unless I decide to change it. Using the audio jack would double my computer's number of available USB ports by 100% (from 1 to 2), so I might need to do that.

Alternatively, you can purchase a cheap USB hub and it will work fine.
