Hello Community, I own an old MacBook Pro from 2009 or late 2008 and am facing an issue with my Bluetooth module—either it doesn’t work or isn’t installed. I’ve tried contacting Apple support multiple times via their official site, a chat feature, and a forum post, but they all mentioned my Mac is in the 'obsolete' category, meaning no further assistance is available from Apple. I’m looking for suggestions on which adapter might help. I’ve done some research so far, but nothing seems suitable.

Hi Etechplayer, I wasn’t able to find an express card 34 Bluetooth adapter in my quick search. But there are USB 3 adapters for EC 34, such as the one from StarTech: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Expr...00BB7TVMO/. These should fit neatly into your laptop case, offering a solid connection for a small Bluetooth device that also plugs into a USB port. Just keep in mind I don’t know how compatible it is with your operating system—check before purchasing. Take care, Best regards, Kon-Tiki

Unfortunately, the device you linked isn't compatible with MacOS. I reached out to StarTech.com's support, who confirmed they don't have an Expresscard 34 Device for MacOS in stock right now. A search revealed CalDigit previously made a MacOS-compatible version, but I haven't located it yet. I'll keep looking for more information.
