Created a fresh setup and encountered an issue when attempting activation—error 0xC004C008 indicates the product key was previously used on another machine. I purchased a Windows 11 key via USB from Amazon for the first time. I plan to contact support by phone to see if activation works there. If that doesn’t resolve it, I’ll likely need to buy a new license. Should I be able to return the key to Amazon and accept it back?

It was purchased several months ago from Amazon. It came with an OEM license.

Bought it at the end of October and from a third party. I'm assuming retail, product page doesn't say which. Ended up working out anyway. Under the activation window there is the option to call. Did that and the automated system sent me a text that had me type in a ID code that my PC had. Was able to activate it!
